How to service the ignition coil on 2010 Scion xD?

The first step in servicing the 2ZR-FE ignition coil requires removal of the No. 2 cylinder head cover by disengaging the two fittings on the rear and then the two fittings on the front before completely taking off the cover while keeping the attached rubber grommets in place; carefully transfer any grommets that sit on the bolts to the cover. After detachment of the camshaft timing oil control valve connector and the four ignition coil connectors you should remove the four bolts and finally pull off the four ignition coils. Finish the removal by taking away the four spark plugs.
