The removal process of the heated oxygen sensor from the 2ZR-FE engine control system begins with separating the shift lever knob sub-assembly for manual transaxle followed by upper console panel removal then rear console box cover and console box carpet and rear console box sub-assembly. Proceed to take off the front console box. The maintenance proceeds by disconnecting the heated oxygen sensor connector after which the grommet is removed and the sensor connector is pulled through the floor panel opening. The next step requires removal of the wire harness clamp bracket and use of Special Service Tool 09224-00010 to eliminate the heated oxygen sensor.
