The first step to take out the heated oxygen sensor from the 2ZR-FE engine control system involves removing the shift lever knob sub-assembly for manual transaxle operations as well as other components like upper console panel, rear console box cover, console box carpet, and rear console box sub-assembly. The following step includes complete removal of the front console box. The heated oxygen sensor connector should be disconnected first followed by removal of the grommet and extractor of the sensor connector through the floor panel. The wire harness clamp bracket can be removed after which the heated oxygen sensor can be taken out with Special Service Tool: 09224-00010.
