2010 Scion xB Crankshaft Position Sensor Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor on 2010 Scion xB?
A: The first step to remove the Crankshaft Position Sensor from the 2AZ-FE engine control system requires battery terminal disconnection. Begin by removing the engine under cover rear RH while you also remove the fan & generator V belt. First disconnect the generator connector and remove its nut before disconnecting the wire harness at terminal B and eliminating the two wire harness clamps and finally removing the two bolts which secure the generator assembly. The crankshaft position sensor removal process begins with disconnecting its connector then moving on to separate the connector from the wire harness before disassembling the bolt holding the crankshaft position sensor in place.
