Start the installation by mounting the rear door inside locking cable assembly toward the rear door lock assembly until all its 3 claws find their respective slots. The subsequent operation involves connecting the rear door lock remote control cable assembly by activating the claw mechanism. Add MP grease to sliding parts of the rear door lock assembly before installing a new door lock wiring harness seal on it. The rear door outside handle release plate must receive the rear door lock assembly with proper connection to the rear door lock assembly. Set the rear door lock assembly into place with 3 screws using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench to secure the bolts while using Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1324, Three Bond 1324, or an analogous product and torquing each screw to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). The installation process includes placing the rear door glass sub-assembly followed by the rear door window division bar sub-assembly then the rear door glass run alongside the rear door service hole cover the rear door inside handle sub-assembly before moving to the rear door trim board sub-assembly and finishing with the rear power window regulator switch assembly and the rear door armrest base panel. Install the rear door inside handle bezel plug after your work and join the cable to the negative terminal of the battery while recognizing that initialization might be needed following cable reinstallation. The power window control system needs to undergo initialization during its final stage.
