    Q:
How to remove the rear door lock actuator on Scion xB? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first step for removing the rear door lock actuator requires disconnecting the negative battery terminal. The service begins with removing the rear door armrest base upper panel followed by inside handle bezel, trim board sub-assembly and glass inner Weather Strip and trim bracket alongside service hole cover, check assembly, Weather Strip and belt moulding assembly. The removal process consists of taking away the rear door glass run accompanied by the window division bar sub-assembly and quarter window Weather Strip as well as glass sub-assembly and window regulator sub-assembly. Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30 to remove the 3 screws allows you to move the rear door lock downward before pulling out the release plate from the rear door outside handle frame. The first step is to separate the door lock wire harness seal before you open the cover using a screwdriver with covered tip that frees the claw mechanism. Use the screwdriver to open the cover by removing the 3 claws following disconnection of the rear door lock remote control cable.
