The engine control system installation begins with attaching the ECM to the car body via 2 nuts at 5.5 Nm (56 kgf-cm, 49 in-lbf) torque followed by connector connection of the ECM's 5 terminals. Anyone working on a 10 speakers system must use 4 different nuts to secure both the ECM and stereo components amplifier at a specified torque before attaching all 5 ECM connectors and 2 stereo components amplifier connectors. The installation process starts with the No. 2 instrument panel box then proceeds to the glove compartment door assembly where both walls need to enter from the front while pushing the right side wall first before inserting the left wall to fit the stoppers. Board diagnosis for the ECM should always be activated during an ECM replacement procedure.
