How to remove the front cross-member on 2009 Toyota Highlander?

The front cross-member can be removed only after separating the engine assembly that contains either a 2GR-FE or a 1AR-FE transaxle unit. The procedure to remove the No. 1 front stabilizer bracket follows suit by first taking off the LH bracket and then the RH bracket. First uninstall the front bar with its attached link assembly then proceed to uninstall the power steering link assembly. Engine hangers need installation according to corresponding engine type before removing the front frame assemblies for both 2GR-FE and 1AR-FE. The technician should first disconnect the transverse engine mounting insulator on the 2GR-FE engine before proceeding with the removal of both front lower suspension arms LH and RH according to the same procedure for both sides. Use Special Service Tool: 09830-10010 to detach the front suspension member dynamic damper by removing its two bolts and then separate the front suspension member body mounting front stopper and rear stopper and front cushion. During removal tighten the tool evenly while paying attention to prevent the cushion from escaping because it cannot be reused. Perform the same removal process while using Special Service Tool number 09830-10010 on both the left-hand LH front suspension member body mounting rear cushion and right-hand RH front suspension member body mounting rear cushion.
