How to remove the front cross-member on 2008 Toyota Highlander?

The first step to remove the front cross-member includes pulling out the engine assembly with transaxle. The same method should be used to remove the No. 1 front stabilizer bracket LH and then the equivalent RH bracket. The procedure requires operators to remove the front stabilizer bar together with its front stabilizer link assembly and finally the power steering link assembly. The installation of engine hangers should be followed by removing the front frame assembly with the transverse engine mounting insulator. Following the initial step of the front lower suspension arm removal process you should start with the LH arm followed by the RH arm using the same standard method. Use Semi-Circle Locking Admin Tool 09830-10010 to remove two bolts securing the dynamic damper of the front suspension member. Then unfasten the front suspension member body mounting front stopper and rear stopper and front cushion with Special Service Tool: 09830-10010. Follow this procedure when using Special Service Tool: 09830-10010 by placing tool claws on the mounting cushion before tightening the clamps at a steady pace while being alert because the cushion will escape and cannot be reused. Use Special Service Tool: 09830-10010 to eliminate the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion LH after which you should proceed to remove the front suspension member body mounting rear cushion RH while using the same method.
