    A: The removal procedure for the Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch of the 2GR-FE engine control system includes starting with V-bank cover sub-assembly removal followed by engine under cover assembly and No. 1 engine under cover removal. The first step is to drain the engine coolant then uninstall the cool air intake duct seal. The battery removal must be followed by the removal of the No. 2 air cleaner inlet and No. 1 air cleaner inlet. The service technician needs to disconnect both the air cleaner cap sub-assembly and the air cleaner case sub-assembly. The removal process ends with disconnecting and removing the engine coolant temperature sensor and its gasket.
