2008 Toyota Highlander Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the Oil Pressure Switch on 2008 Toyota Highlander?
A: The removal of oil pressure switch for 2GR-FE lubrication system begins with front wheel removal from right-hand side if the vehicle uses 4WD technology. The engine under cover assembly needs removal during the 2WD model procedure. Both the right-hand front fender liner needs to be disconnected for 4WD systems and the front fender apron seal must be removed from the right-hand side for 4WD models. The engine oil pressure switch assembly requires removal by first unbrewing the wiring harness protector when an oil cooler is present then disconnecting the pressure switch assembly connector. A 24 mm deep socket wrench should be used to remove the oil pressure switch according to the same methods for both oil-cooled models and those without oil coolant.
