• Q: How to remove the Knock Sensor on 2008 Scion xB?

  A: A proper start for Knock Sensor removal from the 2AZ-FE engine control system requires first draining the fuel system pressure. Next, drain the coolant. Removing the windshield wiper arm cover should be followed by disconnecting the front wiper arm and blade assembly from both left and right sides. First you must remove the hood before taking away the cowl top seal and the cowl top ventilator louvers from both right and left sides. Take out the wiper motor assembly with its link and the exterior cowl top panel. Among subsequent steps go ahead to take off the No. 1 engine cover followed by the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with the No. 1 air cleaner hose and the throttle body assembly. The service procedure requires fuel tube sub-assembly removal then the subsequent removal of the fuel delivery pipe sub-assembly with its integrated fuel tube sub-assembly.
