A proper starting point for removing the Crankshaft Position Sensor is to disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Start the procedure by uninstalling the engine under cover rear RH and the fan and generator V belt. Begin generator assembly removal by disconnecting the generator connector then disassembling the nut to disconnect the wire harness at terminal B before splitting two wire harness clamps and taking out the 2 generator assembly securing bolts. Disconnection of the crankshaft position sensor requires removing its connector followed by separating the wire harness and unbolted removal of the crankshaft position sensor.
