2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Oxygen Sensor Parts Q&A
Q: How to service an Oxygen Sensor on 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?
A: The first step to service the Air Fuel Ratio Sensor includes glove usage while waiting for the exhaust pipe assembly to cool sufficiently because it retains high heat right after engine shutdown. Start the procedure by removing the cable from the negative terminal of the battery. The service of Air Fuel Ratio Sensors starts with undocking the No. 2 exhaust manifold stay for the LH Bank through its 3 bolts before removing its 2 air fuel ratio sensor connectors. The 2 air fuel ratio sensors need to be extracted from the exhaust manifold by using Special Service Tool: 09224-00010. Special Service Tool: 09224-00010 should be used for both sensor installation onto the exhaust manifold and application of 44 N.m (449 kgf.cm, 33 ft.lbf) torque. Reattach both air fuel ratio sensor connectors to the system after setting the 3 bolts into place that secure the exhaust manifold stay. Complete the installation by reattaching the cable to the negative battery terminal while tightening it to 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf).
