How to service the Parking Assist Distance Sensor on 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?

Service of the Parking Assist Distance Sensor begins by disconnecting the negative cable from the battery terminal. First disconnect the rear bumper cover and then detach the ultrasonic sensor by extracting its connector followed by the retainer removal. Both Rear installation procedures must be used but for the Left Hand (LH) side and the Right Hand (RH) side. You should install the ultrasonic sensor using both the retainer and connect its connector. Reinstall the rear bumper cover while reattaching the cable to the negative terminal then tighten the connector with 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf).
