2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Mirror Switch Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to service the outer mirror switch on 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?
A: Service of the outer mirror switch starts by removing the negative battery terminal cable. The first step requires removing the fuse box opening cover through unfastening the 4 claws. A screwdriver with taped tip will allow you to remove the outer mirror switch by disengaging its 2 claws after connector disconnection. Connection of the connector along with claw insertion establishes proper installation of the outer mirror switch. Secure the wire in the negative battery terminal with 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf) torque before installing the 4 claws for the fuse box opening cover.
