2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How to service the rear Door Jamb Switch for the upper side on 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser?
A: Service of the upper side rear door courtesy switch requires you to disconnect the negative battery terminal cable first. The service process starts with removing the access panel rear Weather Strip and lap belt outer anchor cover along with the rear door inside handle subassembly, No. 1 cup holder and rear door trim board subassembly and center pillar upper garnish. The service process begins by first disconnecting all components from the access panel upper lock assembly which then allows full removal of this assembly once three bolts are removed. Install the access panel upper lock assembly by securing all three bolts at 12 N.m (122 kgf.cm, 9 ft.lbf) and restore connector connections with harness clamp and access panel lock control cable. After installing the center pillar upper garnish you should proceed to add the rear door trim board subassembly, No. 1 cup holder, rear door inside handle subassembly, lap belt outer anchor cover, and access panel rear Weather Strip. Render the end of the cable to the negative terminal of the battery with 3.9 N.m (40 kgf.cm, 35 in.lbf) torque.
