The first step to replace the speedometer sensor (A246E) involves removing the air cleaner assembly with its connecting hose before you disconnect air cleaner hose No.1. First disconnect the connector then remove the bolt before you remove the speedometer sensor assembly. The clip along with driven gear needs to be uninstalled from the speedometer sensor. Start by applying ATF to an O-ring before installing it onto the speedometer sensor while also installing the driven gear with the clip in place. Install the speedometer sensor assembly with the bolt while applying 11 Nm (115 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.) and reconnect the connector after. Before ending the procedure install air cleaner hose No.1 and the air cleaner assembly by applying 7.0 Nm torque (71 kgf-cm or 62 inch lbs.).
