The shock absorber gets its speed sensor wire harness connected through the resin clip while preventing any wire twisting and then receives its speed sensor connector installation. After front wheel torque application at 103 N.m (1,050 kgf.cm, 76 ft.lbf) and connection of negative battery cable you should inspect the ABS speed sensor signal.

The procedure for changing the Speed Sensor Front LH begins with front wheel and battery removal. First disconnect the speed sensor connector before removing the 2 clamp bolts which secure the speed sensor wire harness to both body and shock absorber structures. After that disconnect the resin clip and wire harness from the shock absorber, finally remove the bolt to take out the speed sensor front LH. To finish the task check the signal output from the ABS speed sensor for appropriate performance.

Service and repair of the front wheel speed sensor requires starting by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Begin installing the rear speed sensor by connecting the skid control sensor wire through these steps: Attach the sensor clamp using nut A while tightening it to 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf) until the clamp's rotation stopper reaches the installation position and then install bolt B at the same torque. Finally, fasten 7 clips C into place as shown in the illustration before securely connecting component D. Start by fixing the sensor clamp with bolt B at the same torque and maintain harness wire straightness before putting in the seven elements labeled C according to the provided diagram. Securely connect the sensor connector which bears letter D. The rear speed sensor LH requires installation of the speed sensor A accompanied by nut B at 11 Nm (107 kgf-cm, 8 ft-lbf) torque before attaching connector C securely. Apply the same torque standards to attach the rear speed sensor RH. Before attaching the rear wheel professionals must tighten aluminum wheels at 131 Nm (1336 kgf-cm, 97 ft-lbf) and steel wheels must achieve 209 Nm (2131 kgf-cm, 154 ft-lbf). After reattaching the negative battery cable some systems need to be initialized through a reconnection process while testing and inspecting the speed sensor signal.

Take care to replace it if dropped or subjected to strong shock.

Pull it off straight to avoid contact with the speed sensor rotor.

Engage clamps D, C, and B onto the body.

Special Service Tool: 09520-00031 (09520-00040), 09521-00020, 09950-00020, and 2 bolts (Diameter: 12 mm, pitch: 1.5 mm).

Remove the bolt to take out the speed sensor front LH, ensuring that no foreign matter attaches to the sensor tip.

Avoid attaching any foreign matter to the sensor tip and ensure that no foreign matter enters the sensor installation part.

Secure the No. 2 sensor clamp to the body with a bolt at 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf), install the front speed sensor wire harness clamp, and connect the speed sensor connector.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Use a pin punch and hammer along with Special Service Tools: 09520-00031, 09520-00040, 09521-00020, 09950-00020, and 2 bolts.

Reattach the sensor harness clamp with bolts "A" and "B," torquing Bolt A to 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.) and Bolt B to 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft. lbs.).

Ensure the wire harness for the front speed sensor is not twisted and that the front speed sensor is positioned over the flexible hose.

Attaching any foreign matter to the sensor tip and ensuring that no foreign matter enters the sensor installation part.

Disconnect the skid control sensor wire.

First, remove the battery and then the battery carrier by taking out the 4 bolts.

Clean the contacting surface of the axle hub and the new speed sensor, position the speed sensor on the axle hub with the connector at the lowest position, and use Special Service Tool: 09214-76011 and a press to install it.

Connect the rear speed sensor connector.

Proceed to install the front wheel and inspect the speed sensor signal as part of the testing and inspection process.

Finally, reconnect the cable to the negative battery terminal, noting that some systems may require initialization after reconnection, and check the speed sensor signal as part of the diagnostic procedure.

Place the speed sensor (labeled A) with the nut (labeled B) at a torque of 11 N.m (107 kgf. cm, 8 ft.lbf) and connect the speed sensor connector (labeled C) securely.

Install the harness clamp with bolt E, torqued to 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf), and attach three clips F securely. Then, connect the speed sensor connector G.
