The manual transaxle starter assembly installation requires the starter assembly placement alongside the clutch accumulator bracket and wire harness clamp bracket with three bolts securing each part according to specifications such as Bolt A at 37 Nm (377 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf) and Bolt B at 12 Nm (120 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf). The wire harness must be connected to terminal 30 followed by attaching the terminal cap after tightening the nut to 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf). The last step involves connecting the terminal 50 connector to the starter assembly. When working on an automatic transaxle you must first connect the wire harness to terminal 30 using a nut then fasten the terminal cap at 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 87 in-lbf) before installing the terminal 50 connector. Install the battery carrier first followed by the battery then complete the installation by securing the half-claw on the wire harness and terminal 50 connector. After the air cleaner case and the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with hose the technician will install the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly. Termination of the process involves connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.
