When installing the starter assembly for the 1ZZ-FE engine you must fasten it with two bolts while tightening them to a torque measurement of 37 Nm (378 kgf-cm, 27 ft-lbf). Connect the starter wire using nut [B] while tightening it to 9.8 Nm (100 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf) and finally close the terminal cover and attach starter connector [D]. Installation of the starter will be followed by engine under cover LH before proceeding to engine under cover RH installation. Complete the battery connection by attaching the negative terminal while securing it with 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).
