  A: Start the removal and replacement process of the starter motor by disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery. Start by removing first the right-hand engine under cover then follow with the left-hand side one. The starter assembly removal begins by disconnecting the starter connector which is noted as [A] then opening the terminal cover before unfastening the nut labeled [C] to disconnect the starter wire and finally using two bolts to extract the starter. For installation the starter assembly needs to be placed in position before securing it with two bolts while torquing to 37 N.m (378 kgf.cm, 27 ft.lbf). Fasten the starter wire using the nut [B] at 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 7 ft.lbf) torque before closing the terminal cover then connecting the starter connector [D]. After completing the left-hand side install of the engine under cover the process continues with the right-hand side and ends with connecting the battery negative terminal using a torque of 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf).
