Draining coolant should be the first step when servicing the throttle body assembly parts. You must first remove the air cleaner cap together with the air cleaner hose before disconnecting the accelerator control cable assembly. The next step requires disconnecting two components of the throttle body assembly beginning with the throttle position sensor connector then ISC valve connector followed by detachment of the vacuum hose and two water bypass hoses. The throttle body mounts to the intake manifold through three bolts which must be unfastened before removing the existing gasket.
