The new gasket installation on the
Intake Manifold should precede securing the fuel tube bracket with a bolt to reach 7.5 Nm (76 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) torquing level. Use 4 bolts to install the throttle body assembly while torquing them to 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf) before connecting all throttle body assembly components and water by-pass hoses. Resume the fuel tube by attaching it to the clamp. The air cleaner cap sub-assembly needs switching between the throttle body assembly while fixing the hose band followed by screwing two bolts with a torque value of 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). First install the ventilator hoses onto the air cleaner cap sub-assembly by locking both clamps then connect its hose to the sub-assembly and clamp together. To complete the installation connect the ventilation hose to the cylinder head cover with its clamp followed by the mass air flow meter connector. The installation of No. 1 vacuum switching valve requires engine coolant addition along with checking for any coolant leakage. The assembly process should begin with installing the No. 1 engine cover sub-assembly followed by applying the cool air intake duct seal before adding the outer cowl top panel sub-assembly then the ejector tube and finally the windshield
Wiper Motor and link. Starting the No. 1 engine under cover requires disconnecting the cable that leads from the negative (-) battery terminal for sixty seconds before re-application. Start by turning the
Ignition Switch to ON position without pressing the accelerator pedal. In case you press the pedal during this step begin from the previous instructions. Use the DLC3 with the Techstream to remove DTCs then begin the engine check for MIL illumination while verifying engine idle stability using the specified range and verifying accessory power is off with the shift lever in neutral position. Test the engine with the Powertrain / Engine / Data List / Throttle Sensor Position menu by depressing the accelerator pedal completely while checking the value exceeds 60% followed by a road test to detect potential issues.
