Start the installation of the Clock Spring Assembly / Clock Spring by installing the
Steering Angle Sensor which includes VSC features. Straighten the front wheels while keeping the turn signal switch in neutral position because snapping of the pin can happen. The clock spring must be installed by removing lock pins when necessary and the connectors must be connected while protecting the Air Bag wire harness from any damage. After that you need to mount both the steering column cover and the lower steering column cover. Proceed only after waiting for 90 seconds while the car is off and the negative battery terminal remains disconnected. Use your hand to tighten the clock spring through counter-clockwise rotation until firm while avoiding contact with the Air Bag wire harness. After that, apply approximately 2.5 clockwise turns to properly align the marks. The installation of the
Steering Wheel assembly should proceed followed by a center point examination of the steering wheel. The installation process includes setting the steering pad alongside the lower steering wheel covers No.2 and No.3. You must reinstall the cable to the negative battery terminal to check the steering pad before starting the initialization process because system needs initial setup after negative battery terminal removal. Check if the SRS warning light functions correctly as the last step.
