2010 Toyota Camry Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the TPMS Sensor and Transmitter on 2010 Toyota Camry?
A: You should remove front and rear wheels before proceeding to uninstall the Tire Pressure Warning Valve and Transmitter. Start by draining tire air through the removal of valve core and cap then unscrew and remove the nut and washer from the tire pressure warning valve and transmitter to permit them to fall inside the tire cavity. Store the removed valve core alongside the cap and nut and the washer because they will be needed for installation. Lower the valve and transmitter inside the tire and then detach the tire bead using the shoe from the tire remover while maintaining safe proximity between components and the tire bead. Follow the standard bead removal procedures while you extract the tire pressure warning valve along with its transmitter from the tire before performing the bead removal on its lower side. A visual inspection should be performed on the grommet for damage. The grommet as well as the washer and nut must be replaced if signs of damage emerge.
