- Q: How to install the side Air Bag sensor safely and correctly on 2010 Toyota Camry?A: Begin installation of the side Air Bag sensor by disconnecting the vehicle power switch and taking the negative (-) battery cable out to let 90 seconds expire before starting work. This delay stops Air Bag activation. Place the side Air Bag sensor with its bolt then secure it through torquing it to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). A replacement sensor should be used if there are signs of damage to the case along with the bracket or connector or if the sensor suffered a falling incident or contains fractures or dents. It is essential to check that the SRS wiring stays clear of all other components and does not suffer any damage while installing. After installation confirm that all attached parts are secure. Avoiding damages to the Air Bag wire harness remains essential when you connect the Air Bag connector.
