- Q: How to install the rear Air Bag sensor and related components on 2009 Toyota Camry?A: The installation process of the rear Air Bag sensor requires the ignition switch to be off together with disconnecting the battery negative (-) cable and waiting 90 seconds before starting work. The bolt for the rear Air Bag sensor must be tightened to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). Any sensor requiring replacement needs to be exchanged due to drops or visual evidence of contour damage, case damages, bracket issues, or connector problems. Installation must be performed without any wire contacts to other components or pinching and the built-in parts must be checked for slack. Connect the connector afterward. The installation process requires fitting the rear seatback assembly and rear seat headrest assembly center and backrest for fixed seat types. The reclining remote control lever sub-assembly should be installed on reclining seat types and rear side seat back assembly and the roof side inner garnish on fold-down seat types. Both reclining and fold-down seat types should receive their rear door opening trim Weather Strip installation before moving to the rear door scuff plate installation. Place the fixed, reclining and fold-down seat types rear seat cushions when it applies to each model variant. After connecting the cable to the negative battery terminal users should check for activation of the SRS warning light.
