The first step toward installing the rear Air Bag sensor involves switching off the ignition and disconnecting the battery negative (-) cable then waiting 90 seconds to prevent Air Bags from activating. Secure the rear Air Bag sensor with the provided bolt while tightening it to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). A new sensor must replace any existing unit when it experiences drops or presents case or bracket or connector damage through cracks or dents. The SRS wiring must be installed without interference from other car parts or being pinched during the process while checking for loose connection points in all parts. Connect the connector afterward. The next step includes installing the rear seatback assembly and the rear seat headrest assembly center as well as the rear seat headrest assembly for both fixed seat types. The installation of reclining remote control lever sub-assembly needs to be performed for vehicles with reclining seats. Install both pieces by attaching first the rear side seat back assembly and then the roof side inner garnish for fold-down seat type. The Weather Strip of the rear door opening trim must be installed for both reclining and fold-down seat configurations followed by installation of the scuff plate for both types.
