  • Q: How do you remove the Window Motor on 2010 Scion xD?
    A: The first step to remove the power window regulator motor requires disconnecting the battery cable from its negative terminal. Start by taking off the RH side parts which include front armrest base upper panel, front door lower frame bracket garnish, front door inside handle bezel, front door trim board sub-assembly, front door trim bracket, front door service hole cover, front door glass sub-assembly as well as front door window regulator sub-assembly. A "TORX" socket wrench T25 tool should be used to remove the 3 screws which fasten the front power window regulator motor assembly. The process for the rear door requires removal of the rear door armrest base upper panel followed by disconnection of the rear door inside handle bezel and the rear door trim board sub-assembly and rear door trim bracket and rear door service hole cover and rear door glass run. You must detach the rear window Weather Strip before reaching the screw on the upper section of the rear door window division bar and then remove the 2 bolts and screw to detach the rear door window division bar while avoiding any drops or damage to the part. After removing the rear door glass sub-assembly and rear door window regulator sub-assembly the operator should use a "TORX" socket wrench T25 to detach the rear power window regulator motor assembly by removing its 3 screws.
