To access the front power window regulator motor assembly the user should use a "TORX" socket wrench T25 to uninstall its three mounting screws. Start by removing the rear door armrest base upper panel followed by the rear door inside handle bezel and rear door trim board sub-assembly next is the removal of rear door trim bracket then use the rear door service hole cover and finally detach the rear door glass run. Start by detaching the rear window Weather Strip to reach the screw located at the upper side of the rear door window division bar before removing its 2 bolts and securing the screw for complete removal of this component without damage. The last steps are to remove the rear door glass sub-assembly together with the rear door window regulator sub-assembly and finally handle the rear power window regulator motor assembly by using a "TORX" socket wrench T25 for the 3 screws.

Put MP grease on the power window regulator motor moving areas before fastening the front power window regulator motor assembly with 3 "TORX" screws T25 and 5.4 Nm force (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Mount the rear door window regulator first and then put in the rear door glass assembly. Put on the rear door window division bar with two bolts and one screw then tighten each bolt to 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 54 in-lbf). Afterwards attach the rear door Weather Strip. Put in place the door glass run and all related pieces starting from the service hole cover. To integrate the front power window regulator motor assembly use a T20 "TORX" socket wrench and place three screws subsequently tighten at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Put together the front door window regulator assembly, front door glass assembly, service hole cover, trim bracket, trim board assembly, inside handle bezel, lower frame bracket garnish, and armrest base upper panel. Set the minus cable end into the negative battery post then tighten it to 5.4 Nm torque.

The procedure begins by removing the front door lower frame bracket garnish before moving to the front door inside handle bezel plug and followed by assist grip cover and courtesy light assembly and finally front door trim board sub-assembly with front door inside handle sub-assembly. Start by removing the front door inner glass Weather Strip as well as the front No. 1 speaker assembly and front door service hole cover and front door glass sub-assembly. To proceed further disassemble the front door by removing its regulator sub-assembly followed by the power window motor. Start the rear door work by first taking out its inside handle bezel plug followed by assist grip cover and moving to rear door trim board sub-assembly then ending with rear door inside handle sub-assembly. You should install the rear door lower window frame sub-assembly followed by the rear door service hole cover and finally the rear door inner glass Weather Strip. The installation process of the rear door inside handle sub-assembly requires it to be followed by the rear door trim board sub-assembly, door assist grip cover and rear door inside handle bezel plug. The appropriate sequence for front installation is power window regulator motor assembly followed by window regulator sub-assembly and door glass sub-assembly before finishing with service hole cover and No. 1 speaker assembly. The front door inner glass Weather Strip must be installed together with the front door inside handle sub-assembly, front door trim board sub-assembly, courtesy light assembly, assist grip cover, front door inside handle bezel plug, and front door lower frame bracket garnish.

The first step to extract both power window regulator motors is disconnecting the negative battery terminal cable. Start the front power window regulator motor assembly installation by putting on the FRONT POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR (Special Service Tool: 12345) then the FRONT DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY (Special Service Tool: 12346). The car needs both the FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY (Special Service Tool: 12347) and the FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER (Special Service Tool: 12348) to be installed. Installation of the FRONT DOOR TRIM BRACKET (Special Service Tool: 12349) must be followed by the FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS Weather Strip (Special Service Tool: 12350). Machinists should install the FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH without the Front No. 2 Speaker using Special Service Tool 12351 or with the Front No. 2 Speaker using Special Service Tool 12352. The next step requires installation of the FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (Special Service Tool: 12353) together with the FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY (Special Service Tool: 12354). Place the FRONT ARMREST UPPER BASE PANEL (Special Service Tool: 12355) before adding the FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL (Special Service Tool: 12356). Mount the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.

First apply MP grease on the moving areas of the regulator motor then tighten the power window regulator motor assembly with 3 "Torx" socket T25 wrench screws to a torque specification of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Secure the power window regulator motor to its place with 3 screws using a "Torx" socket wrench T25 while setting the torque at 5.4 Nm. This measurement also includes 55 kgf-cm or 48 in-lbf torsional force. The sequence of installation begins with the front door window regulator sub-assembly followed by front door glass sub-assembly and front door window frame rear lower installation and then front door lower frame bracket garnish installment. Place the front door frame sub-assembly front lower followed by the front door glass run and then the front door Weather Strip. The installation sequence includes the front door check assembly as well as the front door inside panel plate and the front door service hole cover. The front No. 1 speaker and front door glass outer Weather Strip assembly together with the outer rear view mirror should be installed after all previous components. The last sequence involves installing the front No. 2 door service hole cover followed by the front door trim board sub-assembly and front armrest base upper panel. The second step requires the installation of front door glass sub-assembly LH per individual cab configuration. Move on to install the front door service hole cover LH followed by front No. 1 door trim bracket together with front No. 1 speaker assembly and front door trim board sub-assembly LH then the courtesy light assembly then front lower door frame bracket garnish LH then front upper armrest base panel LH and front door inside handle bezel plug LH according to the Regular Cab Double Cab CrewMax specific reassembly procedures. After reconnecting the cable it should be attached to the negative battery terminal though some systems need to complete initialization procedures.

Start the installation of the power window regulator motor assembly on hatchback front side by applying MP grease to all sliding and rotating areas of the regulator motor. A "Torx" socket wrench T25 with 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) torque should be used to attach three screws which will secure the power window regulator motor assembly front. You should start by adding the front door window regulator sub-assembly after you insert the front door glass sub-assembly. The next order requires you to position the front door service hole cover and then add the front door belt moulding along with the outer rear view mirror assembly. In the 3-door model install the front door window frame rear moulding and then the front door window frame front moulding. Following that, mount the front door trim board sub-assembly together with the front armrest base panel upper and the door armrest cover. Application of the cable must end on the negative battery terminal where a torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) should be applied.

Remove the 2 bolts, screw, and rear door window division bar, taking care not to drop or damage it.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Install it using 2 bolts and a screw, torqued to 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 54 in-lbf).

Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal, ensuring it is torqued to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).

Install it with 2 bolts and a screw, torqued to 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 54 in-lbf).

Using the "TORX" socket wrench T25, remove the 3 screws securing the rear power window regulator motor assembly.

Install the rear door window regulator sub-assembly.

Install the rear door glass run, rear door glass sub-assembly, and rear door quarter window glass.

Install the rear door glass sub-assembly and the rear door quarter window glass.

Front door lower frame bracket garnish, inside handle bezel plug, armrest upper base panel, assist grip cover, courtesy light assembly, trim board sub-assembly, inner glass weatherstrip, service hole cover, glass sub-assembly, and window regulator sub-assembly.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

The front door inside panel plate and the front door service hole cover.

Ensure the regulator arm is below the intermediate position.

Connect a positive (+) lead to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1.

Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

Install the back door power window regulator assembly, back door glass, back door glass run, and back door glass outer weatherstrip assembly.

Remove the linear wiper step on the right-hand side.

Remove the rear No. 2 door trim bracket.

Take off the back door center garnish.

A T25 "TORX" driver.

Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating areas of the regulator motor.

The rear door belt moulding and the rear door weatherstrip.

Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal, applying a torque of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).
