2010 Scion xB Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How do you install the rear and front Window Motor assemblies and their associated components on 2010 Scion xB?
A: Apply MP grease to the sliding and rotating parts of the regulator motor before attaching it with three "TORX" socket wrench T25 screws that have a torque setting of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). The vehicle requires the rear door window regulator sub-assembly and rear door glass sub-assembly before attaching the rear door quarter window Weather Strip. Add the rear door window division bar sub-assembly by securing it with 2 bolts and a screw producing a torque of 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 54 in-lbf) before establishing the rear door Weather Strip. Continuing with the installation sequence includes mounting the rear door glass run followed by service hole cover, trim bracket and trim board sub-assembly, inside handle bezel and armrest base upper panel. Apply MP grease to all moving components of the front power window regulator motor assembly before fastening it with three TORX socket wrench T25 screws that have 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) torque. Installation of front door components should include the front door window regulator sub-assembly along with the front door glass sub-assembly and service hole cover and trim bracket followed by trim board sub-assembly and inside handle bezel and lower frame bracket garnish and armrest base upper panel. At last, attach the cable to the negative battery terminal while tightening it to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf).
