2009 Scion xB Parts Questions & Experts Answers
Q: How do you install the rear and front Window Motor assemblies on 2009 Scion xB?
A: Install the rear power window regulator motor assembly by applying MP grease to the sliding and rotating regulator motor components and fasten the motor assembly front with 3 screws through TORX socket tool T25 while torquing to 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf). Install the rear door window regulator sub-assembly before putting on the rear door glass sub-assembly and the rear door quarter window Weather Strip, followed by the rear door window division bar sub-assembly which needs 2 bolts and a screw secured with 6.2 Nm (63 kgf-cm, 54 in-lbf) torque then add the rear door Weather Strip. Afterward, install the rear door glass run piece followed by the rear door service hole cover and then the rear door trim bracket before installing the rear door trim board sub-assembly and finally the rear door inside handle bezel and rear door armrest base upper panel. The front power window regulator motor assembly installation requires application of MP grease to its moving and turning regions before installing it with "TORX" socket wrench T25 and three screws at 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) torque. The next sequence of installation consists of the front door window regulator sub-assembly and the front door glass sub-assembly as well as the front door service hole cover, the front door trim bracket, the front door trim board sub-assembly, the front door inside handle bezel, the front door lower frame bracket garnish and the front armrest base upper panel.
