The first step to remove a rear door lock actuator begins with disconnecting the cable from the negative battery terminal. The order of removal starts with the upper panel of the rear door armrest base and progresses to the inside handle bezel before taking out the sub-assembly of door trim board and inner Weather Strip of door glass and the door trim bracket and service hole cover and check assembly and Weather Strip and belt molding assembly. For the next step in the procedure you need to eliminate the rear door glass run followed by the removal of rear door window division bar sub-assembly then the rear door quarter window Weather Strip then the rear door glass sub-assembly before removing the rear door window regulator sub-assembly. For the rear door lock removal process first apply "TORX" socket wrench T30 to remove its three screws then lower the door lock and remove the release plate from the outside handle frame. Squeeze open the door lock wire harness seal and apply protective tapered tape onto a screwdriver to free the claw for opening the cover. A screwdriver with protective tape around the tip enables users to disengage 3 claws for opening the cover before they extract the rear door inside locking cable.
