- Q: How to install the side Air Bag sensor LH on 2009 Toyota Sienna?A: You should install the side Air Bag sensor LH only when the ignition switch is off and battery negative terminal disconnected. The installation must take place at least 90 seconds after disconnection. Connect the side Air Bag sensor LH by using 2 nuts to achieve a torque setting of 17.5 Nm (179 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf). The side Air Bag sensor LH needs replacement with a new unit if it has experienced drops or indicates any damage through cracks and dents or defects. The SRS wiring should never contact other vehicle parts and must remain free of pinching during installation as well as any loose installation parts should be checked. Use the wire connector to link with the side Air Bag sensor LH. The sequence of installation includes the front seat outer belt assembly followed by the center pillar garnish lower LH, lap belt outer anchor cover LH, rear door Weather Strip LH, front door opening trim Weather Strip LH, front door scuff plate LH, and finally the rear door scuff plate LH. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal followed by system initialization according to requirement before inspecting the SRS warning light for correct operation.
