The first step to install the front door lock actuator involves installing the front door inside locking cable assembly while engaging the 3 claws. The installation of the front door lock remote control cable assembly follows installation of the front door inside locking cable assembly. If used again the front door lock assembly needs a new door lock wiring harness seal installed on the connector point because grease or dust residuals could destroy the seal surface which may result in water leakage that can make the front door lock assembly malfunction. Apply MP grease to the sliding components within the front door lock assembly while simultaneously installing a new door lock wiring harness seal combined with correct insertion of the front door lock open rod. The front door lock assembly needs installation using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30) with 3 screws tightened to 5.0 Nm (51 kgf-cm, 44 in-lbf). The final sequence of installation begins with front door outside handle covers for both driver and passenger sides before placing front door rear lower frame sub-assembly followed by front door glass run components and front door glass sub-assembly and front door service hole cover and front door inner glass Weather Strip. Install front door trim board sub-assembly and courtesy light assembly after putting in place assist grip cover and front door inside handle bezel plug and front door lower frame bracket garnish. Connect the negative terminal following the procedure while being aware that specific systems might need an initialization process after reconnection.
