The removal of the rear door lock actuator starts with disconnecting the negative battery terminal while waiting 90 seconds to stop Air Bag and seat belt pretensioner activation; however initialization of some systems might be necessary after reconnecting to power. You should begin by taking out the rear door inside handle bezel followed by the rear door armrest upper base panel and door assist grip cover then the rear door trim board sub-assembly and rear door inner glass Weather Strip and rear door service hole cover with the rear door Weather Strip and rear door glass run as well as the rear door window division bar sub-assembly and rear door quarter window glass and rear door glass sub-assembly. The removal of the rear door lock assembly starts with a "TORX" socket wrench (T30) to remove its 3 screws which allows the assembly to slide downward and enables removing the release plate from the rear door outside handle frame before discarding the door lock wiring harness seal.
