How to install the front Seat Belt assembly on 2009 Toyota Camry?

It is necessary to examine the ELR lock mechanism when installing the front seat outer belt assembly to confirm the belt locks above 45 degrees at gentle belt tension but refuses to lock below 15 degrees of tilt in any direction. Avoid unwinding the retractor. Apply two bolts to temporarily hold the assembly symmetrically after securing the upper side bolt to 7.5 Nm (77 kgf-cm, 66 in-lbf) and proceeding to tighten the lower side bolt to 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf). Fasten the connector by securing the locking button. The front shoulder belt anchor adjuster assembly should be installed through its 2 bolts which must be tightened to 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf). The shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly requires a nut installation at 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf) torque. Add the upper center pillar garnish followed by the lower center pillar garnish and then install the rear door opening trim Weather Strip with its scuff plate before putting on the front door opening trim Weather Strip and its corresponding scuff plate. Install the bolt on the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly while using a torque of 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf) and perform an ELR lock check by pulling the belt out rapidly when the assembly is already installed. The installation requires engaging three claws to attach the lap belt outer anchor cover followed by connecting the cable to the negative terminal and verifying the SRS warning light.

The shoulder anchor of the front seat outer belt assembly requires a nut installation at 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf) torque. Add the upper center pillar garnish followed by the lower center pillar garnish and then install the rear door opening trim Weather Strip with its scuff plate before putting on the front door opening trim Weather Strip and its corresponding scuff plate. Install the bolt on the floor end of the front seat outer belt assembly while using a torque of 42 Nm (428 kgf-cm, 31 ft-lbf) and perform an ELR lock check by pulling the belt out rapidly when the assembly is already installed. The installation requires engaging three claws to attach the lap belt outer anchor cover followed by connecting the cable to the negative terminal and verifying the SRS warning light.
