A: The first step to access the Crankshaft Position Sensor for the 2AZ-FE engine control system requires battery terminal cable removal. The first step requires removal of both front right wheel and front right fender apron. The next step requires removal of the V-ribbed belt together with the generator assembly. First disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector before removing its clamp together with the wire harness clamp. Afterward remove the wire harness clamp bracket from the wire harness. To finish the sensor removal process remove first the bolt maintaining the crankshaft position sensor before pulling out the sensor.
