What are the proper procedures and safety precautions for deploying and disposing of a front seat outer belt with a seat belt pretensioner during scrapping on 2008 Toyota Camry?

The removal of vehicles with seat belt pretensioners or delivery of front seat outer belts with pretensioners requires deploying the pretensioners prior to any other steps. Contact SERVICE DEPT. of TOYOTA MOTOR SALES U.S.A. INC. if any abnormal behavior appears while deployment occurs. It is forbidden to discard front seat outer belts containing pretensioners which were never activated because this procedure must occur outdoors to limit neighborhood disturbance. Deploy a front seat outer belt 33 ft (10 m) away from your position and wear safety glasses and gloves before touching a pretensioned seat belt. Following the operation complete your hand wash with water and avoid wetting front seat outer belts that possess deployed pretensioners. Use the specific SRS Air Bag deployment tool as designated tool for deployment while ensuring the tool has no electrical interferences. Check the Special Service Tool: 09082-00700 functional readiness by attaching the red clip to the battery positive (+) terminal and black clip to the battery negative (-) terminal except for the yellow connector at this time. Prior to using the tool verify that LED illumination happens after activation of the deployment switch or discard it for use. Position two Special Service Tool: 09082-00700 units in front of the front seat outer belt pretensioner while avoiding the secondary lock on the pretensioner connector. Place the tool at minimum 10 m (33 ft) from the vehicle and shut all windows and doors while ensuring empty spaces within a 10 m (33 ft) area before activating the pretensioner deployment process. Post-deployment of the tool and front seat outer belt assembly maintain the outer belt in a plastic bag then tightly tie the bag before disposing of everything as general parts. After deployment the outer belt remains excessively warm so leave it uninhibited for at least 30 minutes while handling it exclusively with gloves and safety glasses. Front seat outer belt pretensioners need to be activated before scrapping the vehicle while keeping the deployed belt in place.
