    A: The procedure to remove the parking brake cable begins with detaching the shift lever knob sub-assembly for the manual transaxle followed by removing the upper console panel and rear console box cover and console box carpet and rear console box sub-assembly. Proceed by removing the rear wheel and the rear brake drum sub-assembly after which you should remove the rear brake shoe kit. The right-hand side requires removal of the front No. 4 floor heat insulator along with the fuel tank cover vent case sub-assembly. The beginning of the process demands that you adjust the No. 1 wire adjusting nut through the combination of lock nut and wire adjusting nut loosening actions. The process of removing the parking brake cable from the backing plate requires disconnecting cable ends from the parking brake pull rod and then removing cable clamp A from the stud bolt while taking out 4 bolts before breaking cable clamp B to extract it.
