  A: The installation of the parking brake cable assembly begins with securing the backing plate to the parking brake cable with the bolt at 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 in-lbf). Install new cable clamp B onto the rear axle beam while ensuring tight fastening; however if keeping the existing parking brake cable assembly replace cable clamp B with a new component. Securely tighten the four bolts until they reach a torque setting of 6.0 Nm (61 kgf-cm and 53 in-lbf). The parking brake cable needs to pass through new cable clamp A before installation on the stud bolt. Securely tighten both clamp A and the cable ends before connecting them to the parking brake pull rod. Next comes the installation of both the right-hand fuel tank cover vent case sub-assembly followed by the front No. 4 floor heat insulator application. Install the rear brake shoe kit while performing a drum brake installation check of the components before moving to the rear brake drum sub-assembly installation. Before putting on the rear wheel tighten it at 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf). Check and modify the parking brake lever distance according to requirements.
