  A: Before installing the brake master cylinder inspectors should first check the brake booster push rod length by pressing the brake pedal multiple times without brake booster vacuum during engine shutdown. The new brake master cylinder sub-assembly tool should have a chalk-marked accessory that needs placement on the brake booster assembly to measure the push rod clearance against the 0 mm (0 in.) standard. The push rod must be adjusted using Special Service Tool: 09737-00020 along with a 7 mm socket driver when the clearance measurement deviates from specifications. Install the brake master cylinder sub-assembly new O-ring before securing it along with the wire harness clamp bracket by torquing two nuts to 13 Nm (127 kgf-cm, 9 ft-lbf).
