The procedure starts with screwed attachment of the 2 screws before connecting the 2 connectors while installing the wire harness clamp. First secure the steering column cover by clasping the first pair of claws and then the four following claws before pressuring the area surrounding the last one to engage it properly. First adjust the spiral cable before moving forward to install both the steering wheel assembly and the steering pad. The cable connection must use a torque force of 5.4 Nm (55 kgf-cm, 48 in-lbf) when attaching it to the negative battery terminal. Check that the SRS warning light shows proper operation as the last step.
