How to remove the rear coil springs on 2009 Scion xB?

The process starts with removing rear wheels before removing rear floor side member covers from both left and right sides and then eliminating the rear floor side member brace sub-assembly. The next step requires disconnecting wires from the skid control sensor on both left and right sides. Secure the rear axle beam assembly spring seat with a jack and block then reduce bolt torque on the 2 clamps without separating them from the machine. The following step includes dismantling the rear shock absorber assemblies that exist on each side of the vehicle. Use the jack to slowly lower it down until you remove the rear coil spring and position the identification mark correctly if you plan to reuse the component; in case the mark is missing apply fresh paint mark to the correct spot. Keep the rear axle beam assembly within full rebound position for not more than 10 minutes. Move on to remove both the upper and lower insulators of the rear coil spring.
