  A: The removal process for the front drive shaft assembly begins by draining either automatic transaxle fluid or manual transaxle oil according to the situation. The first step requires removal of the front wheel in addition to the No. 1 engine under cover and both rear engine under covers (LH and RH). The same steps need to be followed to remove front axle hub nuts from both left and right sides. The procedures to separate the LH and RH front speed sensors and the front stabilizer link assemblies must be performed identically on each side. The sequence of operations involves using the same method to separate tie rod end sub-assemblies (LH and RH) and front lower No. 1 suspension arm sub-assemblies (LH and RH) from each other. To disconnect the steering knuckle with the axle hub from the front axle assembly mark the drive shaft and axle hub without punching the marks while using a plastic-faced hammer to prevent damage to the oil seal and drive shaft boot or speed sensor rotor.
