- Q: How to install the front Air Bag sensor on 2008 Toyota Tacoma?A: Before starting the front Air Bag sensor installation keep the ignition off while simultaneously disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal negative (-) and wait at least 90 seconds before moving forward. Connect the sensor connector after verifying tightness in installation components and fasten it with a bolt tightened to 9.0 Nm (92 kgf-cm, 80 in-lbf). Any detected damage or visible defects on the front Air Bag sensor case or connector along with dropped incidents must warrant replacement with a brand new unit. The SRS wiring must be checked for any possibility of contact or pinching against other installation components. The radiator grille requires installation after connecting the negative battery cable through a torque of 3.9 Nm (40 kgf-cm, 35 in-lbf). The SRS warning light should be checked for proper functionality.
