- Q: How to remove and replace the radiator on 2008 Toyota Sienna?A: The removal process of the radiator starts with unscrewing the two bolts securing the radiator water inlet first. First uninstall the drain plug and air drain plug and then proceed to take off the two O-rings. Install the claw-end of the overhaul handle into the hole of Part A as shown in the illustration before beginning lower radiator tank work. The adjustment of stopper bolt (Special Service Tool: 09231-01010, 09230-01010, 09231-01030) requires a precise squeeze of the handle for dimension B between 0.2 to 0.3 mm (0.008 to 0.012 in.) otherwise it could damage the claw. Press the handle of Special Service Tool: 09230-01010 until the lock plate reaches the stopper bolt stopping point. A soft-faced hammer should be used to gently strike the bracket of the radiator or radiator hose inlet and outlet to remove the tank which will free the O-ring. There is no difference in the procedure used to remove the upper radiator tank compared to the lower radiator tank.
