2008 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove the thermostat on 2008 Toyota Sienna?
A: Before accessing the thermostat you need to uninstall the V-bank cover sub-assembly and the No. 1 engine under cover. The first step requires draining coolant and removing the front wheel on the right-hand side as well as the front fender apron seal on the right-hand side. The V-ribbed belt requires removal as a next step. Start by disconnected the No. 2 radiator hose from the engine unit before eliminating the No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly by disassembling bolt and idler pulley cover plate and idler pulley sub-assembly. Proceed by removing the water inlet after unfastening the 2 nuts followed by the thermostat while also removing its gasket from the component.
