2008 Toyota Sienna Oil Cooler Parts Q&A

  • Q: How to remove the engine oil cooler on 2008 Toyota Sienna?
A: You must start the engine oil cooler replacement of 2GR-FE lubrication system by removing the No. 1 engine under cover. Additionally separate the exhaust pipe component between 2WD and 4WD installation types. The technician should drain both engine coolant and engine oil before starting the procedure. Proceed by removing the first No. 2 manifold stay and also extracting the second No. 2 exhaust manifold heat insulator. You should now eliminate the exhaust manifold sub-assembly located on the left-hand side. The end of engine oil cooler removal requires removing a bolt and two clamps and four clips before disconnecting two water bypass hoses and extracting the oil cooler union bolt along with the oil cooler assembly and O-ring.
