2007 Toyota Sienna Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to remove and install the radiator on 2007 Toyota Sienna?
A: Removing the radiator requires dissolving the V-bank cover sub-assembly followed by the No. 1 engine under cover and draining engine coolant. Beginning with the removal of No. 2 air cleaner inlet and battery along with front bumper assembly and front bumper energy absorber and ending with No. 1 air cleaner inlet. The work begins with cutting the connection between the radiator reserve tank hose and pipe together with the No. 1 radiator hose and No. 2 radiator hose. Dismantle the hood lock release lever protector by pulling apart the 4 claws before pulling off the hood lock assembly by disconnecting its connector and removing three bolts and disconnection of the cable. The hood lock support sub-assembly can be taken apart with two bolts after disconnecting the ambient temperature sensor connector and disconnecting the horn connectors and then unclamping the clamp. The cooling fan ECU connector must be disconnected first alongside the clamp removal while the radiator upper support sub-assembly needs four bolting operations to be taken out. Unplug the No. 2 oil cooler outlet tube sub-assembly through the removal of hoses and 2 bolts. A technician should take out the right headlight assembly and the radiator side deflector RH along with the right headlight bracket through proper nut removal steps. The installation requires disconnection of the pressure feed tube assembly through 2 bolts followed by removing the radiator support cushions and the No. 1 radiator support through 6 bolts after clamps detachment. Finish the radiator assembly removal operation by taking out the fan shroud with fan motor and radiator support lowers and No. 2 radiator support. The inlet sub-assembly disconnection process requires removal of the bolt and hose. Connect the inlet sub-assembly to the radiator before installing the No. 2 radiator support with two bolts and the radiator support lowers. Use 2 bolts to connect the fan shroud with fan motor before securing the radiator assembly with both fan shroud and fan motor through 2 bolts. The No. 1 radiator support requires installation with 6 bolts while clamping it in place before fitting the radiant support cushions. The installation process requires using 2 bolts for the pressure feed tube assembly and 3 nuts and claw engagement for the right headlight bracket along with the radiator side deflector RH. After mounting the right headlight assembly you should attach the No. 2 oil cooler outlet tube sub-assembly using 2 bolts and connect its hoses. Install the radiator upper support sub-assembly with 4 bolts while connecting the cooling fan ECU connector and installing the hood lock support sub-assembly with 2 bolts that include attachment of clamp and connectors. Secure the hood lock assembly then attach the reserve tank pipe to the radiator as well as all the hoses. The complete procedure requires reinstalling the front bumper assembly, front bumper energy absorber, No. 1 air cleaner inlet, battery and No. 2 air cleaner inlet. Engine coolant is added to the system while leak inspection takes place followed by automatic transaxle fluid installation and under hood fluid level confirmation before reinstalling the No. 1 engine under cover with its associated V-bank cover sub-assembly. Complete the readiness work by checking and adjusting headlights and fog lights followed by required inspections for desired adjustment outcomes.
